Puerto Princesa
This small city in Central Palawan is enticing for divers and snorkelers but also has an interesting blend of modern and traditional architecture. It's the second largest city in the country and has a reputation for being a spotless, well kept place with nice accommodation and great nightlife. Day trips around the city include the Irawan Crocodile Farming Institute, Turtle Bay Resort, Honda Bay, and the St. Paul Subterranean National Park.
El Nido Cave
One of the many wondrous caves at El Nido. Light pours in from gaps in the cave's ceiling of watermarked rock.
Salakot Falls
The falls is moderate in size and has crystal clear and refreshing spring water. Only the call of the crickets, tall trees and big boulders surround the falls. It is the perfect place to commune with mother nature.
St. Paul Subterranean National Park Underground River
Emptying itself into St. Paul Bay, this picturesque stretch of river, running for an unknown length is a physical wonder. Carved by time itself unaided by the hand of man, there reposes a complete and finished griffin. Between stone pillars a series of steps rises leading from the water to a temple within. Here, the cavern stretches away, into an almost perfect rectangle with walls and ceiling decorated with many colours. There is a huge stalactite glittering like a chandelier from the ceiling of some great ballroom.
